Compassionate Living Now, Inc. (CLN) seeks psychotherapists to join growing group practice
Compassionate Living Now is a thriving practice with 11 clinicians representing training and licensure in social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling. Our work is grounded in the principles of equity, inclusion, and acceptance, and a belief that as we work to heal individual trauma and oppression at all levels, a more global change is possible. Our therapists come to their work from a variety of paths with unique training and expertise, and have a shared commitment to compassionate presence—toward our clients, each other, and our larger community.
Traditional talk therapy is the primary mode of treatment at CLN. We also offer Tools for Living—a variety of offerings designed to complement traditional therapy which can include groups (therapy, support or psychoeducation), mindfulness practice, meditation, therapeutic writing, etc. Clinicians are invited to think creatively about how they might wish to use their unique skills in this area.
Candidates who are both independent and collaborative and who enjoy working creatively with others will be a good fit for our practice. A love of poetry and nature goes a long way also.

Requirements are:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate
- Current State of Indiana license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC
- Building and maintain caseload of 21+ clients seen per week 48 weeks per year
- Initiative to market yourself to grow referral base and recognition in the community
- Post independent licensure experience a plus
- Prior private practice experience is a plus
- Paneled with BCBS and/or IU Health a plus

SEEKING PROVISIONALLY LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONERS FOR POST-MASTER’S RESIDENCY
Compassionate Living Now is a thriving practice with 11 clinicians representing training and licensure in social work, marriage and family therapy, and mental health counseling. Our work is grounded in the principles of equity, inclusion, and acceptance, and a belief that as we work to heal individual trauma and oppression at all levels, a more global change is possible. We are dedicated to deep therapeutic work, personal transformation, and kindness in action. Through our residency program, we hope to prepare new clinicians to enter the profession grounded in these principles and in their own unique strengths as practitioners.
Resident Therapists will be employee status compensated on a commission basis for clinical work with hourly rate compensation for participation in required training and consultations.
Residents will be required to build and maintain a caseload of 20+ clients and may also have opportunities to co-lead group offerings or develop programs appropriate for the Tools for Living series.
To support the on-going professional development of resident therapists, CLN will offer the following:
- Clinical supervision with primary supervisor
- Additional supervision with other clinicians with specific areas of expertise
- Coaching on best practices for marketing, attracting clients, managing a caseload, appropriate documentation
- Weekly group case consult
Upon completion, residents will have met requirements to apply for full licensure in Indiana and will be equipped to join a group practice or embark on their own private practice.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- One on one clinical experience either outside of school or through practicum
- A life or work history that is relevant to the work of therapy
- A desire for collaboration in the workplace
- Alignment with the values of the practice

Post-Master’s Residency
Primary Supervisors
Catherine Deneau Colbert. LMHC
Catherine comes to Compassionate Living Now with more than 10 years of experience as a therapist in a variety of settings including homes, school, office, and community. She is trauma informed and trained in EMDR, and has expertise in treating depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and substance use. She treats clients of all ages, and particularly enjoys work with children, teens, young adults, and parents.
Catherine is a highly collaborative therapist and forms strong working relationships with her clients. She believes that grounding in reality while also maintaining a focus on hope, allows for acceptance and the possibility of transformation.
Catherine has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications Arts, University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a master’s degree in Counseling and Counselor Education, Indiana University. She has an eclectic approach and pulls from Interpersonal, Person Centered, and Cognitive Behavioral therapies, as well as EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing.
Catherine has more than 5 years of experience as a clinical supervisor, both as a team lead and as a consultant, and has enjoyed helping new clinicians grow their skills in the therapy room. She is particularly interested in assisting new clinicians to develop a greater awareness of themselves as therapists, and to find their own unique balance in managing both self and work.
Abby Katz, LCSW
Abby began her career in Social Work seeking a way to combine a passion for social justice and change with a desire to support people in times of personal life changes and crises. She has dedicated her professional career to serving marginalized communities and individuals with compounding trauma.
Her expertise is in using Harm Reduction, Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. She has been trained in Motivational Interviewing and CBT. Abby’s primary focus is on developing a safe and sincere relationship with clients and to then use her tool kit of therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to the individual.
Abby obtained her MSW at Columbia University in New York City and worked for over a decade at a community health and housing provider in Harlem. She has spent her career working with people living with HIV/AIDS, depression, trauma and/or any manifestation of addiction in individual and group therapy.
Abby has provided clinical supervision to bachelors and masters level social workers since 2009. She designed and ran an agency-wide multidisciplinary field placement for dozens of mental health and social work students as a field instructor in NYC as well as attended and presented at the International Conference on Clinical Supervision. Abby believes that a collaborative and positive relationship between supervisor and supervisee is one of the best tools to provide quality care to clients.
